Is it possible to get the notice of action 2 sent again? I'd like 2 official copies. I may have need of them both.

I'm applying for a government position and they are asking for official proof/etc but I have never gotten anything back from the government in terms of sending them official documents and I'd like to keep one for my record.

They will charge you for that - you can always give them a copy of your NOA2. (notarized if they want to get pushy).

But - why would they want your NOA2?

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

I don't think he could get the NOA2 notarized. About the only thing a notary in the US can do is act as an official witness to a signature. In that case, they ask to see identification and then certify that the person indicated on the document appeared before them and signed the document. They can also certify a copy of a document when the original document was signed in front of them, but the only thing they're certifying is that the signature is authentic. They don't certify the authenticity of the document itself - they have no way of knowing if a document you bring to them is authentic.

I'm also wondering why they would want a copy of his NOA2. The only thing it proves is that they've got an approved visa petition.
