You have received your first Notice of Action (NOA1), which confirms receipt of the petition.

You are awaiting your second Notice of Action (NOA2), which confirms that the petition has been approved. Usually it can take anywhere from two to six months. By filling in your timeline, you can get an estimate of when you'll be approved.

In the meantime you should be collecting evidence of your relationship, such as emails, photographs, regular mail, phone bills, etc. Make sure all this evidence is two-way; that is it should show contact from both of you, not just one always contacting the other.

It is probably a bit too soon now, but once you get NOA2, you should begin to gather information such as a letter from your employer (US citizen) and the past three years of tax returns (2006-2009). Your fiancée can find out more about the US embassy in Korea's requirements, including medical exam and vaccinations.

NVC usually sends a letter, though we've never received one.

Safe and speedy journey!

nvc will send me a letter or something?

as mentioned above, once you get the NOA2 - you will get a letter from NVC stating they forwarded your packaget to the embassy.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

If you filled in your timeline I could answer better. Is it a receipt? Approval? If it is a receipt, there is nothing to do really, if it is the approval you had best be prepared for the interview soon.
