ERIS, where is your fiance? Can you show him this site and the K1 guide? You would probably be 18+ by the time a K1 was granted. Your finance would have to show evidence that he can support you.

I don't know if a U.S. citizen can apply for a K1 for a Thai fiancee who's considered "underage" in many States. Why not wait until you're 18 and considered an adult? If it's true love, it will stand the test of time, especially since that time is uncertain because of IMBRA.

Good advice there...there are so many things needed for a K-1. Read the guides to see what I mean. Perhaps giving the relationship time to develop to make sure it's real. :)

Good luck :)

ERIS, the other members replying to your post are not being nosy and trying to pry into your life and relationship, they are asking these questions because you dont provide enough information. I guess we can say you are free to do the K1 if you have your parents consent and that your US boyfriend is over 18 years old. But also someone mentioned that in some states a 17 year old isnt free to marry. The K1 process is a very difficult, expensive and stressful process, it would be wise to read up on the guides at the top of the forum and do your research as to what is needed for the whole process. Your boyfried is the petitioner and he needs to do some research in what is involved. I dont mean to sound rude here but from your typing your english seems ok but you may have problems understanding the whole process. Maybe your boyfriend should post here :) It may be wise to wait till youre 18:)

Good luck
