It was cool to hear how they won the Memorial Cup and went to the Wings game last night in part to celebrate. When my wife and I got married in Windsor we actually went to our favorite bar after the reception and a few of them were there and congratulated us, even bought some drinks. I always enjoy watching local hockey when everyone seems to want it more :)

My wife has been back since June 5, 2007. Now we're just livin' man, L I V I N :)

Ya was a pretty remarkable memorial cup for them----Loose thier first 2 games, then reel of 4 wins in a row! belive they scored on their first 3 shots in the final game vs kelowna!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

It was pretty awesome!

I was really into junior hockey years back(went to a fair share of Toronto St. Michaels Majors, Brampton Battalion, Mississauga IceDogs games).

Not into it as much now, but do catch some games here & there.

Now that OHL is over it's Go Wings Go.

Ahem...you mean GO PENS GO! Isn't any one sick of seeing the Wings win the stanley cup yet? ;)

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

One can never get sick of wel played hockey! As much as I love to see my teams win, i rather watch great hockey being played! And with another pens/Wings final, i think we are in for a great series!! Like to see Pens win in 7! With Fleury MVP!!

Agreed.

Fleury and my brother played for the same junior club (Cape Breton Screaming Eagles) so I am a huge supporter.

It will be a great series. I say Pens in 6. The Pens kids are going to dance around the Wings old men :D

Fleury...it's funny, whenever I hear/see the name Fleury I think of Theo. Was a HUGE fan of the guy growing up.

Theo jersies(yes 2), cards, pictures, video clips.....yea, big fan.

 We must be long lost family.

Theo was our favourite player for YEARS...(him and dougie gilmour) Until, of course..he got addicted to the bottle.

Had a dougie gilmour t shirt from 1993 that I wore to school religiously.

Lol The company actually offered me a sale on tickets that they get but it's not enough. Lower bowl tickets are still about $315 a piece, and me being an Avalanche fan, no way I'd pay to go see a Wings game LOL.

I'm hoping for the Pens to win but they're defense just isn't as good as Detroit's so it's a tossup. I'd like to see Sid hold up the cup with his pre-puberty mustache though for sure Haha.

Gilmore was a quality player until he got dirty and Sakic had to whoop the heck outta him Hahaha.

No harsh words for Dougie, Bowflex. He's my man. haha

Sid's stash is a little funny. However, I think the Pen's offense is so good right now.

Ah..we will see what happens when they return to the Pen's rink.

And Fleury is not so hot right now. There was definitely at least 2 bad goals in the series so far.

Good hockey, though.

ya, fleury is sucking, lol!! he has made soem great saves, but they dont mean much if ya dont save the weak ones. A weak goal can have a pretty demoralizing effect on a team!! It aint over yet!!
