How do I add a picture next to my username on the left hand side of these posts?

Go into "My Controls" on the top of the page. The picture shown with your posts has to be under a certain size requirement.

Depending on what photo-editing software you use, it may be hard to get the picture down to 16kb.

I found that opening the picture in Paint, then copying the part you want, pasting it in a new file, & shrinking the new file preserved the quality and greatly reduced the size. Before Paint, I was using xnView to shrink the pictures, but couldn't get the size to 16KB without losing tons of quality.

I'm still at a loss as to how to get it into the spot. I went to "MY Controls" and uploaded the pid to personal photos but it does not show up in the post. I'm actually pretty computer savy and I cannot figure this out. There has to be something I am not seeing.

Your "personal photos" is an area where you can store a personal photo album.

Got it! I used Microsoft Office Picture Manager. It has a resize that you can input the actual pixel numbersw.
