Hi people,.

Im an irishman living in the uk. Im expecting word from the US embassy in London any time now.

Being a child of the 70's in Ireland i was vaccinated against various things like every other child of that time and place.

But (always a but) i obviously dont have it on paper exactly what jabs i received back then and i dont seem to be able to track that kind of information down in ireland. It was after all 37 years ago.

Now, my question is, will the doctor in london deduct from my age and nationality which vaccinations im likely to have had as a child and tick them off, or will bureaucracy and ££$$ prevail leaving me the veritable pin cushion to be jabbed and filled with bizzare antibodies,germs etc.....Oh happy days indeed.

You can probably ask to have blood titres done that will measure the degree of antibodies you have against the various illnesses. If you have sufficient immunity then you don't need to be re-vaccinated. I am not sure if there is some sort of national health records repository that would list the different vaccinations you received or not. Good luck.
