I am a U.S. citizen and need to change my address. We have already sent in our K-1 application and gotten back a confirmation of having received it and my check was cashed. I will be most likely moving 2 times within the next 3 months and want to be on top of changing my address so everything goes smoothly. My problem is that I only find the AR-11 when I try to figure out what to do. Is it ok to do it that way, or is there a specific one for U.S. citizens? Any help would be great :)

Thanks,

Hassan

You can try to change it by filling out the change of address form and/or calling the USCIS but I will tell you that more often than not, the change doesn't happen...even if they say it does/will.

Your best bet is going to be using an address of someone who is gonig to be at the same place throughout the process. Chances are you will need to stay on top of this the entire time.

I can tell you from experiance that this is great advise. I used the on line, paper document, phone calls & even two Info Pass meetings & it still got screwed up.

The day of the final Info Pass meeting I was told " dont worry we are sure this will straighten this all out now". " This has all been because you didnt do everything correctly & we couldnt mail you the documents". " It will take about 60 to 90 days to re-send everything".

The following day we recieved all the documents we had waited all those months for & at the address they said they didnt have.
