Can income verification be made by W-2's alone?

My first time here. Hope I am doing this correctly.

Thank you for you help.

w-2, copy of last few checks and two or three years of federal income tax filings also a letter from ur boss is good to go with all of this. i think u have to prove that ur still working and earn what ur w-2 shows

Income documentation (I hesitate to use the word "verification") is usually done by providing the most recent year's tax return (2008) WITH w-2s and an employment letter or recent check stubs. There is no specific rules what is required to document income, but for most consulates they want to see, minimum, previous year tax return (with supporting documents such as w-2s OR an IRS transcript) and check stubs showing current employment.
