Timeline

hey guys! my fiance k-1 visa was just approved, and he will be here in a week

we will get married in about 3 weeks

im getting ready to file for aos, and seeking helpful advice

is the aos package much less stressful then k-1 package

on the guides, it doesnt say anything about that we need proof of relationship and things like that

just check, forms, marriage certificate, proof my fiance is here,noa 2

is that really all?

Known each other since we were kids ! =]

08/24/08-Engaged

01/10/2009- Sent

01/12/2009-NOA1

03/17/09- NOA2

03/25/09- NVC recieved

3/26/09- Forwarded to New Delhi Embassy

4/6/09- Packet 3 sent

4/8/09- Sent packet 3 to embassy

4/13/09-Embassy Sent packet 4

4/20/09- Recieved packet 4

4/25/09- Medical - passed =]

5/04-09- Gave paperwork to VFS

5/14/09- Intreview

Approved!!!!!!!!!!

5/26/09- POE at SFO

It is my opinion the AOS is easier than the I-129f. You do not submit any evidence with the AOS except marriage certificate and copies of passport and I-94. If any other proof is required it will be requested when you receive an interview letter. Our interview letter didn't ask for any either, nor did they at the interview.

If your income is sufficient for support you can submit the I-864EZ.

The fee, on the other hand, is not as "easy" as the I-129f :)

Interview: May 10th, 2022 - Interview De-Scheduled

Interview rescheduled on May 11th, 2022

New Interview: Jun 27th, 2022 - Approved 🥳

Oath Ceremony: July 14th, 2022

It is my opinion the AOS is easier than the I-129f. You do not submit any evidence with the AOS except marriage certificate and copies of passport and I-94.
