hi everyone..i just want to ask a few question... because my fiancee dont have any idea about the affidavit of support... and i am not sure too... i read the guides n im still confused.... ur guidance will be much appreciated...

THIS IS OUR SITUTATION

he earn 30,OOO+ anually for the past 2 years and he is in the military (we dont have a child... IS THIS OK?)is this the part were the poverty guideline enter??

THE PROBLEM IS last january he lost one of his job thats why he only earn 700$ per month from january to march...(will this hurt the affidavit of support?)

but comes april he had a new job n earns 1500 already. In May he is now an active military

IS MY FIANCEE FINANCIALLY QUALIFIED FOR THE AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT OR DO WE NEED A CO-SPONSOR??

a signed letter from your employer listing you job title, start date, your salary, and the status (full-time) of your position. >>> this was from the guides (will he need to get a letter from his previous civilian jobs (january-may)OR JUST a letter from the military since he is active military now and deployed soon)

AND After the form (I134 affidavit of support) is completed...who will notarize it??? (can he send me 2 copies of the form?)

Thank you..

2009 Federal Poverty Guidelines for a household of two is:

$14,570 (a bit more for Hawaii or Alaska). For active duty military, they must only meet 100% of this number (which is of course $14,570).

For non-active duty (in other words, the rest of us) this number would be:

$18212 (more for Hawaii or Alaska) because we need to meet 125% of the guideline.

As far as supporting documents - you will not need any kind of letter from previous employers. You really don't need an employment letter at all but must supply proof of the income either in the form of pay stubs (which I don't believe military gets) and/or with a copy of their income tax return.

Does not need to be notarized.

hello...if u like to be advised, pls include ur country and if ur under K1 or K3 bcoz its easy to advise if data is complete. Well, about AOS, embassy accept 2008 ITR and if ever your fiance lost his job this Jan, thats not probably a problem bcoz this year income would be on 2009 ITR already...and AOS not need to be notarized anymore, just filled up and signed by your sponsor and send to you.

Embassy dont accept co-sponsor if ur under K1 and thats u really need to complete your profile in order to receive a complete advise also. You can also check the example forms that u may need in time of your interview on this forum, just click example forms on top of ur screen and thats ul find the answer to your questions. Good Luck and God Bless.

thank you....=-) and is it ok.. he dont have any savings in the bank or house or apartment... all he have is a car.. will that be ok??? Thank you=-)

You don't need bank accounts, homes, stocks/bonds etc - and even if you do, if your income is enough, you don't have to list this information. But to answer the question, it will be OK.
