Hey guys!

Which carrier would you recommend to use to send in the i-130, i-485, i-864 and i-765? USPS? UPS? FedEx?....

Also, I know I am supposed to file everything to the mailbox in chicago but i am a bit confused as to what the exact address is when you file all these forms concurrently? There also seems to be a different address for express service!? I would like to send it via "next day delivery".

Thank you.

There is an address/PO-box for USPS and another for all other 'express' couriers.

We used USPS priority with confirmation - it really doesn't matter which courier you use (IMO) as long as it gets there and you can track that it did arrive.

We used one US government agency (POST OFFICE) to deliver to the other US government agency (IMMIGRATIONS)

Why spend all the EXTRA $$$ for next day?? There is no DEAD LINE for I-485 filing so OVER NIGHT is a waste of $$$.

Send it priority mail to the PO BOX.

I have seen many overnight a package only to have Fed-ex, UPS, etc not able to deliver it for a few days as in a holiday or a weekend.

Overnight delivery wont make them process anything any faster.

Hi, we use Fedex in sending my documents and we used the address for private courier in I-485.

For courier/express delivery:

USCIS

Attn: AOS

131 South Dearborn - 3rd Floor

Chicago, IL 60603-5520

Good luck and have a great day!

hey guys.

im going to use USPS express overnight delivery.

this is the correct address for it right:

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services P.O. Box 805887 Chicago, IL 60680-4107

now if i were to ask for a return receipt would i still send it to that address or would it have to be this one:

USCIS Attn: FBAS 131 South Dearborn - 3rd Floor Chicago, IL 60603-5517

and since its friday today and they'll deliver it tomorrow on a saturday, i would probably be better off without asking for a return receipt cause there'll be no one to sign for it on a saturday, right?

thank you so much

One thing I've noticed is that people that send stuff signature required, they tend to have their checks cashed and NOA1's MUCH faster than normal mail people. I got delivery confirmation via USPS, and they still haven't cashed my check. You look in April, and people that sent theirs with Fed Ex had their NOA1 a couple days after delivery. So, there's my 2 cents.

April 30th 09: Verification that I-129F was delivered to CSC!

May 12th 09: NOA1!

May 15th 09: Check cashed

Aug 13th 09: *NOA2!*

Aug 18th 09: Received NOA2 Hardcopy

Aug 21st 09: NVC Received

Aug 24th 09: NVC Approved!

Aug 27th 09: London received

Sep 11th 09: Packet 3 received

Nov 10th 09: Mailed packet 3.

Nov 12th 09: Packet 3 delivered.

Nov 17th 09: Medical

Dec 7th 09: Interview Scheduled.

Dec 17th 09: Interview Approved!

Dec 30th 09: Visa Printed!

Jan 6th 10: POE Dallas!

Feb 6th 10: Wedding!

You should use the PO box for all kinds of USPS delivery, even for deliveries requiring a signature.

UPS and FedEx are not allowed to deliver to PO boxes, which is why the other address is provided.

We used one US government agency (POST OFFICE) to deliver to the other US government agency (IMMIGRATIONS)

Why spend all the EXTRA $$$ for next day??

Because:

* we couldn't figure out to which address we should send the package to via USPS, whereas there was a definite answer for courier and express deliveries.

* we wanted it to be fast

* we were able to track the process of the package via the internet.

* we got a delivery confirmation and signature.

Wasn't that much "all the EXTRA $$$". Just $17 and change for 2nd day delivery via FedEx. A drop in the bucket compared to the rest of the fees and cost, especially considering the points above.

We mailed the AOS from VWP package Jan 12th, and I've got my physical green card May 6th.

<--- see time line.
