I have a question regarding Part 9. on form N-400; in the instruction for form N-400 it says to list all your children including stepchildren....

My husband who is the USC has a son from a pervious marriage. We did not list him on our I-751 form as it did not specify exactly which children to list and we thought it would only be my (Alien) biological children.

Are we going to have a problem when we file N-400 (after May 25th) because we will have one more child on the list??

Thanks,

~Jacqueline

I have the same situation - I did not include my adult stepdaughter on the I-751 because she wasn't 'mine'. I did include her on the N-400 because it states to include stepchildren. I did add 'step-daughter' next to her name - and she is obviously a US citizen born well before we were married. I am hoping they will look at dates and citizenship and realize that there isn't a problem. She has never lived with us - heck she has teen-aged children of her own!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
