DS-230 form question # 2

Hi all,

On the DS-230 form question # 2 ask: Other Names Used or Aliases (If married woman, give maiden name)

I listed my wifes maiden name there. She also had a nickname that a few freinds called her, but she never used it offically for anything. so I did not list it. Should nicknames that friends used be listed there? I would think that they would only wnat aliases names that were used offically, right?

I didn't bother to put my aliases/nicknames but just my maiden name. So far no RFE for that.

I am just concerned, because she has a tattoo of her nickname (which she regrets getting) and also her email address and im, etc, is her nickname.

I am affraid if we dont list it under alisas names it could delay the process or be a problem.

So, we do not have to list her nickane unger alias names used on the forms--for certain?

you don't NEED to list the nickname. It will not delay the process at all. USCIS is more concerned with the validity of your marriage and have much larger things to concern themselves with other than your wife's tattoos and IM screen names.

Don'tm mention it as mentioning it might confuse them and they might want to see any documents that has that name.Its just her nickname and almost every one has a nick name so don't worry.Tatoo's doesnt matter and same goes for her email address.So don't mention it
