Here's an important thing everyone can do to survive.. vote against president zero and his pack of communists (whether they be democrat or republican-- plenty of RINO's out there too!) in the 2010 election!!

TROLL ALERT!

OMG I would go more with Noob alert.

No, he's right. If you vote for a Republican or Democrat, you're part of the problem.

I don't vote, so it's cool :P

I highly recommend getting a TESOL, CELTA or TEFL degree, telling America to kiss your a$$ and jumping on a plane for Vietnam! It's done wonders for me.

It was good experience for me in Asia, too but you might have a rough time when you come back to the States. Your work experience in Vietnam won't have much value here. Weren't you the trucker? If so, should be able to get a job again.

I can see more retirees leaving the country. Take the money and run where the dollars stretch further. I saw a guy at work retire and head for Costa Rica. My brother-in-law is headed for the Philippines in the future and I'd consider it, too.

I got an email from my old boss a month ago asking when I was coming back. I told him I would be back in June, but only to visit. The entertainment industry needs reliable drivers. I proved myself already, so that door is always open as long as I maintain my CDL.

There is a lifetime of work here. There will always be rich kids that want to learn English.

This is the only job I have ever had that I demanded a raise and they gave it to me (after I threatened to walk). It was a very strange feeling for me as I am not used to people actually ceding to my demands!

Speed? It depends on the area you live in and what price you are paying (max. is like $20 a month). The two places I have lived supplied the internet though. Speed also depends on whether it is raining (I have no idea why) and if the kiddies are sleeping or in school (gamers). The infrastructure here is a mess.

"Rain Fade" from the satellite links. Microwaves interact with water molecules, and some of the energy is absorbed by the water.

Traitor

Good God it's about time someone called me that! It only took 5 months, though I'm sure some of my trucking friends have called me that in my absence. I'm not real worried about it. A choice between touring with The Warped Tour, or living an amazing life in Vietnam...hmmm.

You can also work at the US Embassy in Vietnam as well. They don't have tough requirements for the job candidates.

Believe it or not, only 2% of people who take the initial standardized test become FSOs. It's not easy.

Weird. I saw the requirements at the 55 million dollar newly built US Embassy in Cambodia listing the qualifications. All they need was a high school diploma.
