Just thought to share my experience:

applied after divorce in June 2008 Vermont. Send them 2 lbs of documents.

Since then my case was never touched, as well as was not transfered to California together with other cases of June 2008. I did not know what to think but decided to wait till June before setting up infopass.

On April 4th I moved and sent them change of address form in letter as well as changed it on-line for my case. Got "touch" on 9th, approval on 14th and Greencard on 20th.

....after that I really wonder if my case was gathering dust on somebody'd desk(and that's why was not transfered to Cali), got pulled for address update, somebody looked through it and approved...in other words I have a feeling that if I haven't moved, my case would still be there with no updates or news...

Funny thing that many people are afraid of moving while their case is pending, actually I was one of them too...but it seems it helped.

Best of luck to all of you!

Congratulations! I think the approval was right on time for you since VSC has now moved onto Nov 08 cases already, but anyways, happy for you!

What does your online status say?

I would not be surprised if your case was also transferred to CSC but they forgot to send you a transfer notice. Your timeline is very similar to the timelines of other people who filed their I-751s last summer, were transferred to CSC this February-March and received their approval letters from VSC this April without any changes of their online status.

Well... the OP mentioned that it's a waiver case, I am not so sure if waiver cases are transferred to CSC or stayed at VSC.

Hi, Congratulations!

I am wondering if you are willing to share your experience. My friend is going through a divorce right now and we are trying to help her when she will file her removal of conditions alone. Her friends, including myself are not lawyers so we can't really make her feel at ease and can't afford to hire a lawyer if needed. This is why maybe you can write her personally. Let me know so I can give you her email address. Thank you very.
