Qs about second interview / Stokes

My husband and I went to our Initial Interview on 4/21/09 in Manchester NH.

The interview lasted maybe 20 mins - she took lease agreement, electricity bill, looked over at other

evidences and kept my husband I-94. She wasn't interested in pictures or anything for that matter.

She mostly conversed with my husband and asked very little of me other than my Nat Cert and the marriage

certificate and my husband's birth date. The older lady adjucator didn't give us an approval on the spot for the I-485 but did say that our

I-130 was approved. She said that we will hear of her decisions shortly - that she is waiting to have "some things to come through the

computer". She has not given us any RFE either. Wished us a good day and had the officer she was training escort us to the door.

My question is, I have seen on the website here that when people were called for a second interview or STOKES interview, it is

related to the I-130. When you are approved for the I-130, then there wouldnt be that much of a chance to be called in for a stokes

interview? I am a little nervous as she barely asked any questions, she didnt even asked for my birth certificate nor his.

I mean in my heart I know it went well but of course, I am playing games here in my own mind...

Ugh, I just wanna know!!!!

03-09-09:..........Biometrics done - in and out in 10 mins.

03-20-09:..........Received today INTERVIEW LETTER FOR: 04-21-09!!!! ( TOTAL DAYS FROM FILING TO INTERVIEW: 68 DAYS!!! )

04-10-09:..........Received AP in mail!

04-13-09:..........Received EAD in mail! ~~~ WE ARE SO GRATEFUL AND HAPPY!!! ~~~

04-21-09:..........AOS interview in Manchester NH - I-130 approved - I-485 No decision made - Were told to wait for decision letter

04-27-09:.......... ******* WELCOME TO AMERICA LETTER RCD! ******* ~~ adjustment from VWP without a problem! ~~

05-01-09:..........GREENCARD IN HAND!!! WOOO!!!

TOTAL TIME FROM AOS REACHING LOCKBOX TO GREENCARD IN HAND: 79 DAYS!!!!

Normally, if you are getting a Stokes type interview, they will send you something stating that. (or to report to that section/office).

Stop worrying! You will go crazy.

Just wait to see what happens. :)

(If your 130 is approved, but the 485 is still being looked at - that doesn't normally fall under the "stokes" type of interview)

Oh - looking at your first post about your first interview - you said nothing about a second interview - you just mentioned they would mail you a decision - did something change?

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

I think we are fine though - just impatient.

I cannot fathom my life without my husband... We just want to be happy finally and get on with our lives...

They kept your husband's I-94. That is a good sign.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Filed for AOS . Sent through USPS Priority Express : March 03, 2009
Package Delieverd at USCIS: March 05, 2009
March 13, 2009 : Checks Cashed
March 13, 2009 : NOA 1 received on I-485, I-130, I-765. Dated March 11th, 09
March 17, 2009 : Biometrics Letter recieved (Dated 13th March). Interview on 1st week of April
April 2, 2009 : Biometrics done. Total time taken with wait 20 mins.
April 22, 2009 : Called USCIS. They have received fingerprints and work permit is in process.
May 7, 2009 : I-765 case online. Card Production ordered.
May 11,2009 : EAD card received.
May 12,2009 : Applied for SSN.
May 18,2009 : Received SS card.
June 08,2009 : Received Letter for Interview ( scheduled on July 14 th July )
July 14th : Great Interview. All done in 20 mins.
July 18th: Online status - Card Production ordered. Thank God !! I-130 online status : Pending
July 23rd : Welcome to USA & I-130 approval letter recieved. Online status still shows pending.
July 31st : Received conditional green card
Removing Condition
3/25/11 - Received reminder from USCIS to file for ROC
5/6/11 - Sent I-751 Packet to CSC via usps
5/9/11- Package delivered to csc.
5/11/11- Check cashed electronically by CSC
5/16/11- NOA 1 received
5/27/11 - Biometrics letter received.Scheduled on 06/06/11. Case Online
6/6/11 - Biometrics done
9/6/11 - Approved.Card Production Ordered
9/12/11- Card Received

Citizenship

10/13/15 : Sent N400

10/16/15 : NOA

11/13/15 : Fingerprints

11/17/15 : In Line for Interview

01/11/16 : Interview- Passed & Given Oath letter & Date by hand

01/14/16 : Oath Ceremony done & Naturalization Certificate in hand.Proud citizen of USA
