K1 AOS - vaccination supplement CONFUSING!!

Hi.

I have read a lot about the vaccination supplement now and I am still confused. When I had my medical in Germany the doctor didn't give anything to me. Just a sheet of paper for my German doctor that I still need the Human Papillomavirus shot.

And I had chicken pocks which I told that doctor in Germany I never got a shot for that. So there is no proof anywhere.

Is it enough to bring the "International Certificates of Vaccination" which I have from Germany? Or do I have to bring anything else to that doctor?

I totally don't understand why my doctor in Germany checked all my vaccination and didn't send the information to the embassy till I had all my shots done? So why now again? This is just crazy!

Does anyone of you know a cheap and good doctor who can do that in the Detroit Metro-Area?

First get vaccinated for HPV, and get tested and/or vaccinated for the other required immigrations vaccinations, this can be done by a family doctor, local clinic, health department, wherever it costs the least, and then bring that and your cert of vaccinations to a US Civil surgeon for transfer to the vaccinations portion for form I-693.

Well, I have the HPV, I had to do that before the visa was issued. Because without that the German doctor wouldn't have sent the medical report to the embassy at all. So I have everything I need. I just need the supplement. This is why I got problems to see the reason for that supplement, as I was already totally up to date with everything when I got the visa. I thaught that USCIS already got all the information. But I guess I still have to do the vaccination part of the I-693?

Yes, because a K-visa only requires medical, so all USCIS has is medical information, they will need vaccinations information to adjust from non-immigrant to immigrant. Immigrants need vaccinations too this is a requirement of immigrations and green-card. I-693 vaccination record is a requirement. You can send one in with the I-485, or send one when they send you an RFE for it, or bring it to AOS interview if they require an interview.

Be prepared to fight with the Civil Surgeons who will ask you outrageous amounts of money to just fill out the vaccination supplement.

You can use Dr. Arnold in Texas, that's what I did.

Thanks. Yes, I have heard about those rip offs and about Dr. Arnold. Are they not asking how you could have done that in Texas, even you are living somewhere else? I want to try the Civil Surgeons in the Detroit Area and if they are too expansive I will go with Dr. Arnold.

I would def recommend using Dr Arnold in Texas as $30 is more than reasonable.

There are so many people using him that i'm sure if it caused a problem using a CS from a totally different state it would have been brought up by now.
