I-864 submission question

I have the following that i am planning on sending it with my I-864 packet - Please let me know if i am missing something.

 I-864 Coversheet (with barcode)

 Form I-864 (Signed and dated)

 2008 Joint Federal Tax Return, W2 and 1099INT - 2008 Tax Transcript unavailable from IRS

 2008 IRS Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) document Photocopy of [spouse]

 2007 Federal Tax Return, W2 and 1099INT

 2007 IRS Tax Transcript

 2006 Federal Tax Return, W2 and 1099INT, 1099DIV

 2006 IRS Tax Transcript

 2005 Tax Transcript

 Letter of Employment

 Pay stub(s) from the most recent six months

 Letter from Bank

If you're including 2008 tax info, then don't send anything for 2005. They just need info for last 3 years and sending too much info could cause RFE too. Everything else looks good

Thanks a lot... I wont then send the 2005 tax transcript. I thought of including that since its too early to get the 2008 transcript from IRS.

I suggest you wait and see what other VJ members say. I can not provide much validation for what you've included for 2008 taxes.

If you are sending the tax transcript for 2007 and 2006, then you don't need to send the tax return. You can skip the 2005 tax trascript.

When I sent in my !-864, I only sent transcripts and had no problems.

Now I am sending another I-864 for my step-daughter in a couple of days and I am only including the tax transcripts. I don't expect any problems since the instructions state "You must provide either an IRS transcript or a photocopy from your own records of your Federal individual income tax return for the most recent tax year."

Wow, we seem to be in the same situation, as i am also petitioning my stepchild from Peru with my wife already here in the states...anyhows...I agree, copies of tax returns and tax transcipts together are not needed for the same year...I would go with the tax transcripts, they are issued from a goverment agency and also are a much "neater" package...if 2008 tax transcript are not yet available then a copy of your tax return for 2008 would be fine...I too would exclude the 2005 return info...providing 3 years of tax info whether it be tax return copies or tax transcripts are optional as per the I-864 instructions as they only require the most recent year...good to all

I have a quick question about the I864

I'm a student and I know I still have to file the I864 but should I include a letter stating my situation and should I include as proof my letter of admission to university and/or my high school transcript up until now?
