Hey Guys! I need some clarification...

My husband has a K-1 Visa; we sent in our (on 3/9/09) AOS, EAD & AP before the status expiration date.

How long is the AP good for? How does that work?

Is it a stamp in the passport or a paper that you carry with you?

We just had our biometrics yesterday so hopefull we will get approval soon.

Thanks!

AP is good for usually a year. You receive 2 copies of AP, hand both into the CO on your first return to the states, they stamp and process them and give you (usually) 1 back. Every other time you travel you present that 1 copy. They're good for a year or until you get your GC.

The AP is good for a year. Once you receive the conditional green card, the AP is no longer needed and you can travel with only the conditional green card.
