I filed for my AOS in February, 2008. I was interviewed in June. After the interview, the officer requested some documents which I sent in, but I have not heard anything from them since then. My husband and I got a letter addressed only to him, asking him to come to the office next week, and bring his driver's license, his passport, tax returns for the past 3 years, and any other documents he wants the service to consider regarding our relationship. It says the reason for the appointment is Form I-485 and Form I-130 (which are the forms still pending). I'm confused because (a) the letter is only addressed to him and he is the citizen, and (B) there is no mention that this is even an interview (the word interview does not appear anywhere on the letter). We don't know what to expect. Does anyone have any ideas???

Did your husband attend the first interview?

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Yeah he did. The whole thing is weird. It doesn't mention that this is an interview, so we don't know what to expect. We are going in as if its a stokes interview, which sucks. :(

Does anyone have an idea of what a stokes interview letter looks like, or what words are used in it.

It usually says "Stokes" somewhere on it (like for department or office)

If it is a stokes - you better read up on them and get prepared - they are very serious interviews.
