Hello. I sent Form DS-3025 and I did not send I-693 because when I called USCIS the customer service rep told me there was no need to send any more medical examination since my wife came in as K-1. Now, if I want to send an I-693, how could I do so if I already sent the package? Is there any way to send the 693 to be added to our package, or do I have to cross my fingers on the RFE issue? Thanks!

Hi,

When did your wife came here?when did you applied for adjustment of status(AOS).I think no need to send I-693 if its not expired yet.Your wife came here as a K1 visa holder right, If you file AOS after you got married the medical from the philippines is still good. The medical is good for 1 year...

You are supposed to send I-693(a) regardless, I believe it clearly states in in one of the instruction sheets. Some people have gotten away with not sending it, but I think the more likely action is USCIS will RFE you, and if they do that is no big deal, it only costs $30 to get the I693 transcribed.

Good Luck TLC :)

She arrived in March, got married last week and sent off for AOS today. Her medical should still be definitely valid, but I'm hearing two versions of the story when it comes to the I-693. Thanks!

Hi there. We had the same issue (just included DS3025 and wanted to mail the I863 a few days later) and called USCIS to ask if we should wait for an RFE or send it in. They told us do NOT mail anything additional unless you get an RFE, as it can delay the process as they try and match the papers up.

Lots of people have used just the DS3025 without any issues. Best of luck.

The DS-3025 was sufficient for us, we did not send and were not asked for the I-693.

Her medical is still valid and its true dont send the I-693 if they are not asking u to send it coz it will cause a delay on her papers if u will do that...

Goodluck...
