Hi Everyone,

My question is, if one were to submit AR-11 electronically, does the fellow needs to make paper submission as well?

nope, you shouldn't have to...

but remember if your spouse is your sponsor and he/she is moving too they have to file a I-865 which can only be mailed in..

No there is no need to submit it paper wise as well as electronically. When you submit your AR-11 electronically you will receive a confirmation number as well. The main thing is to make a note of this confirmation number as it is indeed proof of your AR-11 submission. You could always print off the confirmation page which would also be useful if the need ever arose.

Best wishes

No - you do not need to mail in a paper copy of the AR-11 if you submitted one online. In fact their instructions say:

"If you choose to use this online electronic change of address notification, please do not mail in a Form AR-11If you choose to use this online electronic change of address notification, please do not mail in a Form AR-11"

I don't know if you have a case pending or not. Please go to My Assistant above and fill in your Timeline.

Read this: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD

If you do have a case pending, then: If you are not a U.S. citizen and you have a case pending with USCIS, you will need to do both – call customer service and complete the paper AR-11. Completing an AR-11 does not update your address on any pending case. Also, notifying customer service does not meet the legal requirement of completing an AR-11.

I hope this helps.

taht is if you do the paper AR-11... you missed the first part...

Regardless of whether or not you are a U.S. citizen, if you choose not to use the electronic change of address notification, you will need to call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 to request that the address on your pending application/petition be changed. If you are not a U.S. citizen, you will also need to complete a paper Form AR-11.

and this is where it talks about the online AR-11

With the exception noted above, all non-U.S. citizens who move within the United States and its territories must submit a Form AR-11 within 10 days after completing the change of address. You can do that here on our website with the Electronic Change of Address tool. If you choose to use this online tool, you can complete an electronic Form AR-11 and notify USCIS to update your address on most pending cases.
