Timeline

My fiance has a student visa in the republic of georgia. He is originally from pakistan. We sent in the 129 ap. What do you think our chances are that he will get a visa to the usa? Georgia is a christian country. Also is it true that the country you meet in is the country where you have to get the visa in?

5-2005/ met online

11-4-2005/ went to see him in republic of georgia

11-25-2005 returned home

01-17-2006/ sent I129F to <!--WORD2URL-01--><!--END WORD2URL-01-->nsc<!--WORD2URL-02--><!--END WORD2URL-02-->

01-23-2006/ packet was recieved and signed for

01-23-2006 / NOA 1

01-26-2006/ check was cashed

01-31-2006/ recieved NOA 1 in mail

03-23-2006/ NOA 2 - oh yeah

03-27-2006/ touched

03-30-2006/ recieved NOA 2 in mail

04-07-2006-petition was sent to nvc

I think you have the same changes of everybody here because you are doind the same thing...

I dont think the country or the religion or whatever will be a problem to you.

You just need to follow the law and wait for these papers to be done and pá, get the visa.

Proving everything and doing everything right, i dont see any kind of problem.

No it is not true. It is only true if applying for a K3 visa. He can ask for the interview in either country, assuming he resides legally in Georgia. It's always best to check with the local consulate concerning residency requirements for processing of K1'ers.

His chance are as good as anyone elses, as long as you, the USC can show financial ability to bring him here and so he will not be a burden to the tax-payers. Also assuming his record is clean and no affiliations to any bad groups.
