hello,

i've got a question about the medical examination. (california)

i need a full physical and maybe some vaccinations as well.

how long does it usually take to get an appointment at a civil surgeons practice and how long will it take for me to get all the paperwork from my civil surgeoun so i can send it to the USCIS?

also a question about a co-sponsor...

if i don't have a co-sponsor because my wife doesn't make enough money can i still send off my application so i can get my NOA and my status is changed to pending? i would then get an RFE, correct? or would they instantly deny my application if i dont have a co-sponsor at the time of filing.

The US Citizen/Spouse would be your Sponsor (not co-sponsor) - the US Citizen/Spouse must submit the affidavit of support regardless of financial situation (good or bad) - a co-sponsor would be a third person (family/friend) willing to show financial support.

hey. thanks for the reply!

so can i submit my application if at the time of filing i don't have a co-sponsor to show financial support or would they deny my application if i did that?

when i go and have my medical done are there any specific things i need to be aware of or will the civil surgeon know what to do once i tell him that it's for the USCIS?

thank you.

also, if i do find a co-sponsor how do we assess his income? cuz he's supposed to make 125% over the poverty limit so when he/she co-sponsors me how do i count the size of the household?

lets say....wife+husband+2 kids and the husband wants to co-sponsor me and these are family friends of my wife.

thank you.

I think it's wife+husband+2 kids + immigrant = family of 5 for the poverty charts.
