hi i have my interview for green card this month but i not have a account in the bank with my wife and we living just in her mom house so i just have insurence with her for healthcar and we go to Gym together and pics and mariage cirtificate.

so can i need some other proff or is enough?

thx

You guys need to have PROOF that the marriage is real by having joint assets or liabilities. You need to get added to her bank account if she has one or both of you should go to the Bank of America and open a JOINT bank account they will allow you guys to open one without you having a SS#. Let them know that you are in the process of getting one. I hope that they will turn a blind eye to the fact that it was just opened.

You also need a letter from her mom stating that you both are living there. Are you guys students?

Have you filed joint taxes for this year? If not go ahead and file together requesting an extension so that as soon as you receive your SS# (I'm assuming that you have none) you can add it to the tax documents. Take the tax documents to the interview.

GET LETTERS FROM FRIENDS STATING THE VIABILITY OF YOUR MARRIAGE

Going to the gym together is no proof as friends can go to the gym together and even pay the gym fees for each other. That arrangement can be terminated quickly so that is not real proof of a viable marriage.

Make sure that your pictures span the duration of your relationship from before marriage to very recent. Take pictures with friends. Take more than enough rather than a few.

Also add the evidence that Eric & Althea suggested. If you have joint cell bills that would be great. Get a print out of you to show that you communicate with each other.

It is hard to be at the interview stage and after all these months have only a few things to show that the marriage is real and cause the Interviewing Officer to doubt your marriage. I hope that things go well at your interview.

There really is nothing "required" which is both good and bad. We were not asked for any evidence of any kind. But in addition to the bank account I brought insurance information from my company and life insurance, she had her drivers lisence with same address, enrollment information from our sons school with us listed as parents, letters from the school with us addressed as parents, Christmas cards addressed to both of us at our address, etc. But nothing was needed. Oh well, I took it all back home.
