I'm sorry to hear that, but unfortunately pretty much all the males get put on AP from Islamabad and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. However, on a positive note, it appears some of the males are clearing AP much faster in recent months, but most will say the average is still around 6 months. Are you able to go stay with him while his visa is being processed?

im sorry to hear so

did they ever told him when he should have his visa ?

when they give a timeline for it and this time passed ..so u should consider calling or contacting ur congressman

AP vary from a week to 6 months ...some are more ..depending no doubt on the country, his name and his background

so try to find out wht they told him exactly it will be much help so u know when exactly u start to move if they keep it for long time

Good Luck and dont be sad .

Hey, sorry to hear abt ur AP. We just started the process and I am anticipating a very looong time from now until we get to the interview and then AP. It's so sad, but you have to think your on the last leg of this terrible journey. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do, theres ppl on here whos husbands have been on AP for more than a year! InshAllah everything will be all complete after AP and he will be home with you. Now listen, you should go to this topic, and add your name to the AP tracker spreadsheet, it helps keep track of all the ppl on AP and see how long it usually takes. Take care...

Hello All!

My case is little different than what are mentioned in this thread. We (Myself, my wife and two kids) were interviewed on 5th nov. 08. and gave the AP blue paper. Mine and kids visa was stamped in Feb'09 where as the date of stamped was put as 30-DEC-08. Whereas I have no clue about my wife's visa. It is still under AP and waiting...

Now the real question whose answer I didn't have. According to the date of Stamp of visa I have to travel by 30-JUN-09. The problem is that I can travel but my kids can't without their mother. so What will happened to their visa if they will not travel by 30/6/09. How their visa will be treated if it is expired before their traveling. Please suggest me what to do right now. I've called couple of times to the embassy but every time same answer. They don't know when the AP will be completed. I am on F-4 Visa category being a principal beneficiary.

Please Help and Suggest...

Yeah it is definitely hard on him as well not being here for the delivery or being the first to hold the baby. its a very bleh situation. what can you do though. Allah knows whats best. He want me to have the baby and come stay in pakistan till his visa processing goes through. Im praying that before i have to travel with a infant, we hear something with the embassy.inshALLAH
