Hi Visajourney,

It's been a while and seems like this process will never be completed! Ok, so my husband and I completed and submitted his AOS back at the end of November 2008. We have since then, completed the Biometrics, received the EAD card, and the Travel Document. As of now, we have not received any news on an interview. Do we call? Is it this long? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Go here Processing Time and look up your field office, that should give you some idea.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

Seems like the normal. I also sent mine startof november and have done the same as you and have not heard anything. My case has also been transfeered to the california office.

One thing you can do is creat an onlinbe account on their website, thiseems to show the last time someone worked on your case. Mine was last touched on the 12/5.

As far as i know you will not hear anything until 6 to 7 months. Not sure of the accuracy of the dates on their website either.

Thank you for sharing. The last time his AOS was touched was on 3/5/09. I also double checked the timeline and seems like they're working on Sept. 2008 cases. I started to panic for a moment there because some of the vjfamily members were getting interviews and we didn't. Ok...I'll just be patient and wait again!!

Surprisingly we were approved today, card in 3-6 weeks. Your letter should come soon. We met 2 couples today one with a much older time line and another that just applied in December so who can tell. Guess it's luck of the drew.
