attaya_girl, good luck with the interview! I will have all my fingers crossed for you on the 8th. Enjoy your time with Lamine. You must be so happy and excited!

endoftheroad, congrats with packet 3! That was not too long.

Oh, did anybody hear from Jauque? I think she already had her interview, hope it went well.

We still don't know anything about interview or medical dates yet. For now, I am just working long hours before my trip, so at least time goes fast.

Attaya girl-Good luck with the interview!

I haven't heard from Jauque either, impatiently waiting for an update! I think she was headed for POE right afterwards because visa's in Vancouver are usually ready the next day after the interview for pick-up!

All right, guys. This is it. I leave in the morning and will spend the next two days on a plane-but it'll all be worth it because I'll be heading toward Lamine. Please keep your fingers crossed and say a couple prayers for us on the 8th. I'm so terrified of the interview. I'll try to update as soon as possible, but the power outages are really bad in Dakar around this time of year, so no guarantee on posting while I'm in Senegal.

Good luck to all of you!

Have a wonderful trip! I know your interview will go well!

Guess what? We are out of AP! Allie's next. People actually DO survive AP!

YAY Lisa!!! FINALLY!! Congratulations!!!

Did the Senator/Congressman respond to your request?

Well i'm happy for everyone, i sure hope my day in the sun will come soon! Not sleeping well lately and been eating anything not nailed down so this stress is really quite difficult for me, I usually do quite well when it comes to stress but this whole immigration thing is way more stress than I ever imagined, even though i've been through it already, however didnt quite have it THIS BAD for the first husband as I have now for my up coming one...maybe thats where the impatience comes from! My best friend who hooked us up, and my mom are both telling me to chill out but jeez its so hard to do! I sure hope on Friday when I call them I will have some productive news....I sorta didnt want to call them today actually....but Lisa told me to!! Lol, I'll blame it on her this time! lol. Just enjoying some tikka masala for supper...not bad ..from Trader Joe's....so much for cooking....lol...

Looking at your avatar pic and the way you are gripping that mug (of coffee?) it looks like you are going to EXPLODE!

Somehow the Royal Mail lost our Packet 3.....Ahhhh!

I called the department of state about two weeks ago to find out of the packet 3 had been sent. They said it was sent out on the 10th of August however I still havent received it. I thought I would leave it another week or two just in case but I finally bit the bullet and called the £1.20 per minute phone line to the London embassy. It took them 7 and a half minutes (£9.40) to tell me that I would have to email them....

Very frustrating indeed...

That's very frustrating indeed. I think I called the same line once upon a time to be given a phone number to a recorded information line. I've always had good luck with emailing so hope that works for you!

Oh well, hope this week is going to be productive for me...i'm gonna nag Nigel to go get his police clearance thing that details dates and stuff...supposedly theres a post about this guy who mailed them a letter stating what he needed and they just sent a thing with the dates on it and London was fine with that. Soooo, we're gonna be riding some a&^% s for him to go get that done! Totally was stressed out last night as we've got 2 more of us folks out of the NVC that we know....and well, i feel like the odd man out, but I spose you cant be there forever sooo, I guess maybe we're doing a December wedding, which is fine I spose. I just got to let out a big sigh and keep plugging along!

Why don't you just pull the forms down from the Embassy website? The info is all under Application for Immigrant Visa..

http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_new/visa/iv/iv_15.html

You don't need to wait for packet 3. All you need to know is that one has been sent. This means they have you in the system and are awaiting your paperwork.

They replied to me already and basically told me what you just said! lol.

My only concern was that I had to send them a reference number that was on the letter or something like that. I am just waiting on some information in the post from Emily then I can send everything in. (Just hope the Royal Mail doesent lose her package too!)
