After much drama with two civil surgeons in the area who are refusing to do my husband's vaccination portion of the I-693, we're finally contacting Dr. Arnold to complete it.

We'd prefer to not to wait any longer to send the packet off. Do you think it's okay to mail in everything but the I-693 and TB test results and mail the rest in a few weeks?

My husband also needs his TB test done, though, and we're not sure how this works. Does a civil surgeon have to complete it? Or can he have it completed here, mail the results to Dr. Arnold and she can transcribe it? Or can we just mail the TB results from a non-civil surgeon physician in with the Adjustment of Status packet?

I've searched USCIS and here for answers to these questions, so I'm sorry if they've been posted before! Any help is greatly appreciated!

I would say to wait till you have all the items for the package.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Aye, wait until you have everything and send it all together.

When I called Dr Arnolds office last week (I sent my papers out today) they didn't ask for TB, they did ask for a list of other things, do you know everything that you need to send them? if you don't drop me a pm and I will send you the information.

As far as I know TB can be done anywhere in the US, Civil surgeon, doctors surgery whatever, I had my Gardisal in a local clinic just ask for proof from whoever does it, Dr Arnold doesn't require that information though, ( my husband and I decided to take a chance, if they RFE us for TB then that's no biggie)

by the way, according to local legend Dr Arnold is a dude hehe.

Thanks for the response, although we got a bit too antsy to take the "wait to mail it" advice! We decided to mail the packet this evening with FedEx. The sooner we get the EAD, the better and judging by other people's timelines it seems like the EAD is not dependent on the I-485 stuff.

We'll mail in the I-863 stuff within the next few weeks. A PM with the information would be great! I just called the office today and am expecting a call back sometime within the next few days.

According to the USCIS website, the TB stuff is required. I read on here that Dr. Arnold's office won't transcribe TB results, though, so I'll have to look into that a bit more.

Thanks for the gender correction, although I could've sworn I read on here that it was a girl! Oh well :).

i suggest you wait for an rfe for the I693 (or bring it on your interview) instead. it could be difficult getting it together with the rest of your package while it's under process and the uscis doesn't expect a 2nd package. at least with the rfe you'll know exactly where your other documents are.

ROC mailed to USCIS -- June 10, 2011

ROC approved -- November 1, 2011

finally free of USCIS paperwork!

We'd prefer to not to wait any longer to send the packet off. Do you think it's okay to mail in everything but the I-693 and TB test results and mail the rest in a few weeks?

We had the same inclination as you. We submitted only the DS-3025 with all shots complete, even though medical exam was after the cut-off date of June 1. No I-693. No TB test. Waited for RFE. I just decided we weren't going to spend one more dime or go through any more drama unless they specifically told us to.

The EAD and AP approved in about 60 days. Still no RFE.

Green card arrived in mail April 3. So it is still possible to get a GC without a TB test or I-693 (K1s). Just sit back and wait until they contact you.

Great! Thanks for the advice. We mailed it in with just the DS3025 last week and we'll see how it goes. We ordered the I693 from Dr. Arnold just in case we get an RFE. We called USCIS and they said not to bother mailing any additional documents in since they'll likely never get to the right place. Congratulations on your green card!
