Hello all,

We have the AOS interview coming up on Apr 27 and we are planning to to take an out of country vacation soon there after. The interview is at Newark DO and I was wondering if the passport is stamped after successful completion of the interview so that we can travel out of country.

Thanks.

Timeline

Not many offices are giving the stamp in the passport anymore, but maybe someone who has gone through the Newark DO will be able to answer that.

You should receive your GC within 2 weeks after the interview, so if you don't plan to travel for a few weeks, you should be fine.

Good luck.

In SF, they dont stamp your passport, plus, they take your AP document, so you cant travel til you receive the actual card. (Or, you can travel and have someone Fedex the card to you at your destination once it arrives) ..but that could be risky if the card dosent arrive (gets lost in the mail, or whatever)
