Good question raised BobbyUmit. You said your husband applied fror K1 for someone whom he never married. Did she stay back here or something or marry someone else . IF so USCIS will see a burden that was caused due to your husband and will suspect that whther it was somesort of profitable agnda for your hubby to bring someone in K1 and not marry and if this is getting repeated again or not. Hence the stokes says Reason for Appointment: I-130 .

Also if you are here in K1 and have already gone to the 1st interview, why dnt you still have a SSN ? How long did the whole process take ....fill out your timeline please for us to get a clear picture.

BUt then Let us know more on the queries above for us to help. Thanks

Are you really sure about this, or are you simply guessing?

Thank you all for being supportive.

I am not a K1. We filed I-130 with I-485. Our attorney feels that the request may in part due to our age difference and the previous petitions.

What is the age difference and where are you from? Perhaps your country of origin may be a red flag??

September 11th, 2004 - Met in Asia

May 2007 - Engaged in Hawaii!!

June 2008 - I-129F Petition

June (I think) 2008 - NOA1

October 2008 - NOA2 (P3 sent to wrong consulate by accident)

December 2008 - NON-legal wedding ceremony in Honduras

January 19th, 2009 - P3 finally arrives to correct consulate AND me!!

January 19th, 2009 - "Overnighted" P3 back same day. I am so efficient!!

January 23rd, 2009 - Montreal finally gets it. "Overnight" my a**!! Money refunded to me from Canada Post...ASAH!

March 27th, 2009 - Notified by phone call of interview date

March 31, 2009 - Interview Letter received in mail (P4)

April 6th, 2009 - Medical

April 17th, 2009 - Interview!!!

April 27th 2009 MOVED POE - Buffalo Peace Bridge

The petitioner is previously married before and applied for a K1 for another woman, whom he never married. Their case was abandoned eventually.

Proper ID

My passport and I-94 (which they took at the initial interview)

SSN card for both of us (which I don't have)

The beneficiary's children birth certificate (I don't have any children)

Marriage registration

Employment letters from both of our employers. The letter must state date employment began, salary, martial status, dependents claimed and whom to notify in case of emergency. The letter must be signed by an official of the firm. The latest two pay stubs/ statements must also be submitted.

Federal income tax return for the last year.

Any evidence to prove of a bona fide marriage

Passport photos

Stokes interview is a very serious matter. You and your spouse would be interviewed sepeartely for hours. We do not know the details of your case, but you may want to seek a lawyer. Good luck.

Yes, you will be having "stokes" interview. When the second interview letter is addressed to the beneficiary it is usually for a follow up interview but when the second interview letter is addressed to the petitioner it is usually for the "stokes" interview.

Prepare well before going there. You said that it might be due to "previous petitions". How many petitions did the petitioner file in the past?

Dear all,

We had our AOS interview last week and received a letter from USCIS today addressing to me (beneficiary). The letter writes:

Please come to the office shown below at the time and place indicated in connection with an official matter.

Office Location: xxxxx Non-immigrant unit/ Stokes

Date and Hour: xxxxx

Ask for: Any district adjudication officer

Reason for Appointment: I-130

There are two attachments indicated what to bring with us and our rights and previleges during this and any other I-130 adjudication proceeding.

Is this called the stokes interview? Why is this connected to I-130 instead of I-485 (as our interview was for I-485)?

Please kindly help.

Don't worry, they are just a little unsure or need more info to prove something, That happened to a friend of mine. they did not even interview her she justdropped the docs of and the approved her a few days later.

I am very worried.
