Answer please we are worried

Hello all,

My fiance attended the interview on the 25. He didn't have the police certificate with him (ACPO) at the time of the interview, we received it today. This is what the guy at the interview told him:

When you receive the police certificate call the corrieri of the embassy so he can come and collect it and send it in with your passport, he also said that: "When I receive your passport and ACPO I will deal with your visa".

Does this mean we are good? And that he still has a chance to get the visa? The corrier is coming on Tuesday to collect both passport and ACPO.

Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we are freaking out

to me it sounds like good news. and its happened before, as i recall. if everything else was in order, you very may well be good to go once the courier returns the passport, hopefully WITH the visa. : )

i think if this thread gets moved to the UK subforum, you will get a response. not sure how to go about getting it moved.

thank you for the response. Everything else went very very well. It went smooth and they had a good conversation. He even asked about our unborn baby. It was a quick interview and he didn't say anything about the ACPO he just said sent it in. We are just not sure what is going on I never heart or read anything in this forum about it. That's why I am not sure ???????

i think if you think that the police certificate is clear, you are probably in very good shape!

The police ceritificate that we got today it says my fiance's details and NO TRACE! then it explains and says NO TRACE means that you have never had any criminal records and further details about what NO TRACE MEANS. THATS IT.

SO we are good??? NO PROBLEM? I hope everything will go great.

im sure you know that i cant tell you 'NO PROBLEM', only the visa in your passport which you hold in your hand can tell you that.

I know that's true thank you so much for being here and responding. I very much appreciate it.

I don't know who to calm first, myself or my fiance. the interviewer had no problem with us sending ACPO later he said its ok if you don't have it with you.

I thought maybe someone went throw this before and maybe knew an answer to make us feel a little better. Now we just have to wait for the passport to come, which according to the interviewer we should receive it with in 3-5 days

someone has been through this, we just have to lure them into commenting!

and the reason i responded is because, at least for me, when i post, i want to know that someone thinks my question is important enough to answer. so even though i didnt have a great answer for you, i had some input that i thought would help you get through feeling so worried! thats a huge part of vj for me. : D

Chances are that as soon as the document is received by the embassy they will finish processing the visa. I believe congratz will be coming soon to you.

Thank you so much hun. You, and everyone else has been a big help for us to get throw this. I am sure it is very hard for everyone as it was for us. I will try to see if I can post it to the link you gave me.

I wish everyone in here best of luck and I hope soon I can post our experience and how happy we will be to receive that visa.

Sounds good. Consulates handle missing documents in different ways. Some say bring it in when you have it, etc. Generally if all else is OK, they will collect the missing document and issue the visa. Kiev does not "give interview dates" you call them and tell them when you have everything and then get an interview date. They get perturbed if you do not have a document you were supposed to have before calling. I suppose they get over it, but in the case of Kiev, this should never happen. Obviously they have a different procedure, but it sounds like you will be good to go.
