Photo Requirements for Montreal Interview

I am going to go ahead and say that it doesn't matter then! Info in my packet 4 described the dimensions and then said it's the same as Canadian passport pics, so I just went with that and was ok.

As far as the different pics... I had a couple of different ones left over but decided not to use those because logically I was thinking that they would probably want their file photo and the one on the visa to be identical.

You could have different pictures taken at different times, but I'd only be giving one agency, or Dr. the ones that match. Example, if you have two pictures from February, and three left from a different picture taken in January, then give 2 to just one place, and the other 3 to another. Do you look drastically different in the two?

If in doubt, just get a bunch redone, and then everyone will have the same picture.

I just heard back from the Montreal Consulate. Yes, the pictures need to be in U.S. specifications and that they must be the same picture.

I went to Costco a few months ago, and thinking I was on the ball got 4 sets of Passport photos. I just looked and they are 1 and 3/4 by 2 and 3/4 GRRRRR

What a waste of $24. I guess I can give them to family members as a memento of me

So, will any photo place do this?? If you say you need 2 by 2 will get give you a hard time "Sorry, our computer is set to Canada standards"

I am debating going today since I will be in that area.

I did mine at a local CAA and they were fine. Or you could scan the ones you've got and resize them at Free Passport Photos.

Addendum: I was just thinking..... I may have told the CAA I needed the photos made to US specs. I can't recall..... it was so long ago now.

I had mine taken at the Local Shopper's Drug Mart, only $9.99 per set and they have the templates for just about any country Good luck!

Shoppers Drug Mart charges $9.99, and they have a binder which is a guide from their head office with every countries requirement. They know how to do it. Just tell them it's for US, and they will do the 2x2 ones. You need 5, bit they only issue them in two's,,, that's how their system prints. So you'll get 6 for 30$

It was on the instruction sheet I was given at Montreal. I also remember reading someone else's review who was called back up to the window after handing her photos in b/c she forgot to write her name on them. I'm sure it is not a big deal though if you want to wait you can always ask "Should I write my name on here?" when they want you to hand them in.

Thanks for the info. My letter just said to bring the correct size and number of photos. End of photo questions! I think I have exhausted the subject!
