The same length of time that it takes to petition for a spousal CR-1 or IR-1 visa. Review the timelines for CR-1/IR-1 visas and filter for PI.

I am from Bulgaria

It took 5 months to approve I-130 :o

Usually everything maxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 1 year.

If you use the short cuts you can save a lot of time. I am afraid to mess up w/ those barcodes so not sure. Mabe when time comes I will see where if I feel comfortable to use atleast some of the short cuts. On line payments and e-mails it`s fine but barcodes and pasting them makes me nerves. Will see. If you are in a hurry do the shortcuts for sure. People are saying they are safe but I personaly haven`t done it so I don`t know.

Good luck

Most important thing is to have all the original documents ready to mail when asked for.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

I agree. That`s why I have all docs ready for them, just waiting they to ask for them. I haven`t completed the forms since I need the one w/ the barcode on it but I am raedy with the information that they require. I am actualy doing example one for my self and I will jsut copy over.

If you are well prepared and everything runs smoothly it can take as little as 5 months or maybe even less if you are really sharp. It seems to me looking at the timelines that bringing over parents is quicker than bringing over spouses. There is one less form required. The US embassy in Cyprus where my parents will attend their interveiw told my parents that parent petitons are simpler and seem to come in quicker. If you look at my timeline you will see that we really took our time and could be probably a much as a month or even two months ahead than we are now if we had moved as quickly as we could have done. We chose to move more slowly for personal reasons.

My Journey for my Parents ) IR5

(Please note we have taken our time and we could have gone faster with the NVC)

I have 2 petitions running at the same time, I have not posted 2 sets of dates because they have been processed either together or a few days of each other.

yes i did, this is not a shortcut it is what needs to be done, Its is quicker to pay online, the next day you go back online and print out the barcode sheet, once you have the barcode sheet, that is the indication that you can send in you AOS or DS-230. The NVC has moved away from mailing letters, when you call them the Automated recording says they will mail you stuff but that is misleading, THEY DO NOT MAIL DOCS, you have to download them and fill them out. this process can take as little as five mths but it depends most of the time on how fast you get your stuff into them

hope this helps, good luck
