I was wondering the same question. I called NVC and was told that if was originals it didnt need to be certified. If its in arabic it doesnt need to be translated either b/c its from Egypt and thats your place of residence. Hope that helps.

That may be true if he is going for K3. He stated clear that he will be going for CR1/IR1; if that is the case then all documents in Arabic must be translated to English.

I just called NVC to be sure since my husband and I are trying to complete the DS230 and I was told once again that none of the paperwork needed to be translated if it was already in english or arabic.

Here's what it says on NVC......

Photocopy Requirement

In addition to sending the original documents or certified copies of the documents to the NVC, the applicant and each accompanying family member must submit a photocopy of the original documents or certified copies of the documents.

Translation Requirements

All documents not in English, or in the official language of the country in which application for a visa is being made, must be accompanied by certified translations.

Morning

if you will keeep with the K3 ..then you dont need any translation ..

if you need to go with the CR-1 so u will need to translate and send the following :

1: Original Marriage certificate or certified copy+ translation (Ministry of Justice)

2: Original police certificate+translation(Ministry of Justice)

3: Original or certified Birth certificate +translation(Ministry of health NEAR Ministry of Justice on the same area)

4: Original Military Certificate+translation (Ministry of Justice)

you can issue as much as u want from all the required doucments above ...so u wont be afraid for losing any ....

issuing an extra Military certificate take only two days (i done it my self )

BC ...can be issued on the same day ....

at the Interview they will give u back all the original documents ....

Good Luck...........

man, send them the originals and the certified translation attached with some kind of stables or so , anyways i don't think you want to get any delays because you have your orignials at home and only sent the translations lol ...send everything you have and you will get them back now worries about that .

now tell me what have you done to take te CR-1 route ?? have you contacted the embassy to cancel your K3 ?? have you contacted the NVC ?? or you just ignored the K3 package and will carry on working with the CR-1 ??

take care ;)

Most of the questions were already answered but I want to add something that might be useful.

My wife somehow get 2 originals all the time. It seems you can get this with some fees. Then she translates at the location you mentioned for the fees you mentioned, again in 2's.

So we have 2 originals and 2 translated originals. In our I-130 process, we simply sent one set of Marriage Certificate originals both Arabic/English with one set of originals both Arabic/English with my wife for her interview purposes.

Now we hope to do the same with PCC for our NVC process.
