FYI...I have been to El Paso many times and also flown in and over it. I have been all along the US/Mexico border (both sides) throughout the 52 years I have lived in Texas. I have absolutely no desire (or reason) to travel there now. I definitely would not cross over into Mexico now or travel to the places I went to years ago.

Houston is a funnel for all the ####### that eminates from the border. Why do I need to travel to El Paso to witness it first hand when I can see the rotten fruit of years of incompetent Federal policy from Houston (where I live)?

Honestly, how many days in a row have you spent here? I know your experience is from changing planes or something but I'm going to try to have a clear mind and give you the benefit of the doubt.

Mayor Bill White of Houston has been saying that Houston is not a sanctuary city for years. Other people have another opinion altogether. He sure has changed his tune (and policies) a lot here lately even while proclaiming that Houston never was a sanctuary city.

It may or may not be an official Sanctuary city, but anyone who has been through there (as I have many times) sees it as a depression place.

One of my good friends from the Marines is from there, I have thought about trying to look him up but with a last name like Sanchez .... I guess it would be very difficult to locate him.
