Tay, NVC mispelled my middle name and I called right away and she told me to send an email/mail with any identification showing my name. I sent an emai with attached document. I am just wondering if I could just go ahead and send through the mail also since the email processing is so slow.

Do you have any idea where to send it? I tried to find the address but I am confused. And also I am fixing to send a copy of the email (DS3032) we've sent . I sent DS3032 (VJ's email template)and my Mother too. Can we just send it together?

I paid the AOS and I got the document cover sheet and I called NVC today and checked if there's a new..The AVR didn't say that the AOS is paid. Can I go ahead and send the I-864?

No, pay the bill. Wait for it to clear. Print out the barcoded cover sheet. And send in your DS230 package. No need to wait for NVC to send you any thing.

a useful info from CR1 forum - that YOU CAN PREDICT CASE COMPLETE: 2-3 days before that - the online payment website LOGIN FAILS

Statistically, about 6-14 days from the date it was received at NVC... But remember, Monday is a Holiday!!!

End of next week, start checking the website where you paid the bills and when you get a message that file is no longer available for processing.... Case pretty much complete...

You will cry when you get that failed login message. Its Beautiful!!! :cry::cry: Best wishes.

yes if you printed cover sheet - you can send the i864! same with IV packet - the cover sheet is a proof of payment

Hey Guys!! Hope you all are doing great.

I recently filed for my father in Bangladesh. So far NVC received DS-230 a few days ago and I am waiting for NVC to complete the case and forward it to Dhaka Embassy.

The question I have is regarding civil documents. I have submitted the following ORIGINALS, along with photocopies:

1. Beneficiary's Birth Cert

2. Beneficiary's Marriage Cert (including NikahNama in both English and Bangla)

3. Police Certificate

4. My Birth Cert

Also, certified copy of my Marriage Cert.

Now, after reading a few posts in this forum, I learned these new terms such as "Packet 3" and "Packet 4". I looked up these terms and it looks like they are something the beneficiary gets from the U.S. Embassy. Typically they ask for all these documents again.

My question is, if I had sent all the originals to NVC, am I (or my father) going to receive these packets requesting the same docs again? It also goes for AOS documents which is requested in Packet 3.

Any insight is deeply appreciated.

I haven't reached interview stage yet, but from what I read, they will return the originals at the interview, so you will only need extra copies just in case and may be translations. I saw a list of documents for interview in the CR1- Spouse threads with "ORIGINAL RECEIVED" marked.

Yes, you do. Below is a letter from NVC once your case has been completed.

This is an actual letter from NVC from people who already has their case completed.

Feliz, thanks for your reply.

Honestly, I wasn't worried about the Embassy returning the originals. I am more concerned about them requesting ANOTHER set of original docs to take to the interview while a set of original civil docs are already in NVC file. Do the guys that are getting packet 3/packet 4 doc requests from Embassy have a different NVC process than us (petitioning for parents)?

Feliz, I re-read your post and realized that the NVC letter asks the beneficiary to bring original of anything that wasn't submitted to NVC. So that makes sense.

Hi "Export of Dhaka"

As fer as I understand, the Packet 3 or Packet 4 stuff are not for us. Those are for k1-k-3 visa.

You have to send all original and photo copy to NVC. Once NVC approve your case, they will e-mail you the interview date and sent your whole package to Dhaka embassy. At the time of the interview, your parent will get the original document back.

"if you missing any document, NVC will send you a REF for missing document"

Update on my case:

1. NVC requested my original marriage certificates, nothing else.

2. I was told that my mother's documents have been received and accepted (I sent certified copies, translated to English ONLY).

Did you not include your marriage certificate when you sent DS-230? NVC requires some petitioner documents such as the birth certificate as well as current AND all previous marriage certificates in some cases (Parents of US Citizen is one of them).
