Yes, it's illegal to sign a document for another person but you read it wrong.. the question asked by ChinaBabe was : "do i have to have my parents sign on the form"? which of course the answer is YES.. Im planning to send the DS3032 via USPS too. Did you guys put in just one envelope the I-864 if you're filing for both parents? Or you sent it separately? Thanks!

Dear fellow VJ'ers. I called the NVC today and the operator told me that gettting an automated e-mail response from NVC does not necessarily mean that they have received your e-mail. She further said that sometimes e-mails are never received. She strongly advices to mail the paper DS-3032 instead.

Please learn from our mistakes and mail paper form!

I am surprised that right now Thursday Oct 8 - the AVR message still says that RFE was sent on Oct 3 (pdf dated Oct 1), so neither the Oct 2 Friday 3032 acceptance, nor Monday Oct 5 payment has not been updated at the AVR

I though it takes maximum 3 days to update AVR, did anybody else notice that it slowed down? may be its happening for the same reason as email acceptance delays (whatever it may be)?

BASICALLY BOTTOM LINE - CALL THE OPERATOR, AVR IS DELAYED for unknown periods AND NOT ACCURATE

Was your PAYMENT STATUS updated to PAID already..seems like we got the same timeline.

I just checked mine and it still says IN Process, it's already cleared in my bank.

Yes, you have to submit ORIGINAL certificates and they can be sent over to the consulate and your parents can collect them at the time of interview along with their originals.

it only took 5 days fm the date of email to get accepted.

i have one more question though....if i m USC and filing i130 for mom and dad both here, do i have to submit my original marriage certificate and my original birth certificate in the DS230 package?

Yes, the beneficiaries has to sign the DS-3032 form. They can scan it after signing the doc and send it to you so that you can print and mail it to NVC or your parents can mail directly to NVC.....i read on this forum that they are accepting scanned signed documents......

seems like people have problem with DS-3032 email. i am just wondering, if i want to mail the DS-3032 paper, do i have to have my parents sign on the form?

question about translations: with the ds230 I have sent self-made certified translations (all by USCIS suggested wording) and signed it myself

but now I am reading NVC's official instruction and it requires:

am I competent? can I notarize my own signature? or do I need to take it to some translation agency?

Me neither ..Anyways, to those who are waiting for their DS3032 emails, I have just received an email (2 emails) from NVC regarding the receipt of my DS3032 emails sent on Sep 22. And that the DS230 will be sent to the choice of agent and further instructions. Now that's a relief! Goodluck to all of us..

I'm about to pay the IV bill but it only shows my dad's IV fee. I called the NVC to get the Invoice ID number for my mom and told me they have not generated it yet. The operator told me that I can pay my dad and wait for my mom's Invoice ID# to be generated. and all cases should be sent separately.. i guess i have to wait for my moms IId# for now.. what a bummer

I just checked the status of AOS fee and it says "PAID" and i printed the Document Cover Sheet for both my parents.

The next step for me is to MAIL the I-864 right or do i need to wait for the email from NVC or do i need to wait for the DS-3032 to be accepted by NVC. Please let me know.

Based on what i ready i can mail the I-864 now but wanted to make sure before i do. Please let me know.

Mum and dad had their visa medical in London today. Everything went fine and the doctors said they were in very good health for their age. Next stop... the Interview (in 53 days!)
