Our interview is scheduled for April 20, but mu hubby has only visited once. He stayed from Jun 18 2008 to July 27 2008 and we were married during that time. Since then he hasn't visited, but we have kept records of our Yahoo Messenger conversations and we've spent time together online every day. We've also exchanged cards and gifts through mail.

Do we have reason to fear being denied since he hasn't visited, even though we have kept in regular contact with each other?

Also his job and his school is at risk if he go here to pick me and jin me in the interview. He is working as after school tutor ans studying at the same time. He's graduating on june so his prof's are strict. If he pick me due to that reason his willing. But as a wife i feel guilty taking him away of his job and school and puting his career at risk.

If he lose job then how can he support me..

Please help me and give me advice..

He does not have to be at the interview as long as you have all the evidence. I attended my wife's inteview in Manila in July 2008. Between December 07 and June 08 , I visited 3 times. The CO knows that not everyone can do that . Of course it helped alot that I was at the USEM with her for her interview but it was not necessary or required. Our CO was very nice. Our interview lasted about 5 minutes.I love the hotels on Rosas Blvd across the street fromthe USEM.Good luck on your journey.

During christmas break he was planning to visit me even just for 2 weeks but something came up.

His car got stolen so he needs to take care of it. The money that he suppose to use to visit me spent with a new car because car is important specially in his work he travel almost an hour to his work. So we need to be smart and use the money for a new car that is very productive for his job and school. We have a police report about the car and some other evidence that during december his car got stolen that why he didnt visit because our money spent to buy a new car.

Also, december 25 they had a family reunion and he promised mom that he will attend the reunion. He's doing a lot of ebay stuff aside from teaching. My husband is a video game neird, he has many collection of video games and consles, he has many marvel books that he collected since his chilhood and many more. Our house if full of collection.

Being a responsible husband he is selling all his collection for us to have a good start and with my father-in-laws help. His doing good job as my husband and responsible.

Thank you so much for all your advice. Maybe i should listen to you we'll talk about it.

I really appriciate all you advice and its really helping me to think right and calm down...

Your husband is not required to be with you on your interview. Just make sure that you have all the documents with you, pictures of you together and be prepare on the questions. It is important to have his job to support you here..No need to pick you up just have a his complete address and telephone numbers before leaving and give your family in the phils. a copy too. just in case. Im sure he will be at the airport of your destination to welcome you. Good Luck to your interview..

Thank you for all your advice you're really helping me to calm down and not panic,

To be honest im not at peace this past few days because im thinking of that too much..

Try not to worry :)

There are MANY people who cant visit after the wedding, or go to the interview.

I agree with others, just stay calm. Tell the truth and even practice questions with your husband if it will make you feel better. You have good evidence of an ongoing relationship, that is what they are most concerned about.

Good Luck

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

I agree with Lisa!! Just be honest, and answer the questions as appropriate. The interview is to prove the ongoing relationship, since the question about the marriage being legal has already been reviewed.

Good Luck!!!
