I like your logic. I am a pessimist in planning, but not in attitude. That way when the likely event that the recovery happens, the surprise, in plan, is good, and the attitude doesn't get bruised.

This is sacrilege, but we are still feeling the effects of Reaganomics, and evidently, we still have not learned the lessons. You cannot keep priming the system, and expect things to level out later. It's like an engine that once started on ether, becomes addicted to the ether, until the engine finally fails. A simple tune-up could have fixed the initial problem, but now you are looking at a major overhaul. The economy is long overdue for a rebuild.

So is giving 300,000 stimulus jobs to illegal aliens. So why do Pelosi, Reid, and Obama favor giving taxpayer funded jobs to illegal aliens while the US unemployment rate closes in on 10%.

I think Lucky was refering to Pelosi, Reid, Obama. These people refer to the enforcement of long standing laws passed by congress and signed by a president as being un-American (Obama refers to ICE as terrorists). While in reality the failure to enforce these laws is anti-American.
