both CSC and VSC has been reporting 6 months for awhile now, so nothing new here...

No, VSC was previously showing May 12, 2008 (or so).

USCIS reported this change today. As per USCIS information (see link posted in my original post), "when applications and petitions are completed without our target timeframes, those timeframes will be shown (example: 3 months). If we are not meeting our target timeframes a date will be shown (example: April 16, 2008)."

As of last month, I-129F petitions were not beign completed within their target timeframes, hence a date was showing on the table. Now, however, the 6 month target timeframe is being shown.

It looks like we might have the same congressman :). And he is still not willing to help since we had a RFE well over a month ago. So we are still within their processing times despite the fact that it's been over 6 months since we submitted our petition.

Good luck everybody.

I have had no RFEs and no touches. I called yesterday to make a service request regarding being outside of processing times.

Can you please let us know what, if anything, you were able to accomplish by calling USCIS this morning? Good luck!

Nothing whatsoever . Haven't even managed to speak to anybody, just the stupid recorded message. This entire visa journey has been nothing but frustration.

How did you accomplish making a service request?

How did you accomplish making a service request?

I called USCIS, checked on the status of the petition, and then I selected option 3 (I think that is it) to report a problem. I was then able to speak with a customer service representative to report that our petition is outside of processing times. I hope this information helps.

excuse my last post but I have tried to reply 4 times and they have disapeared every time.

VSC did only change to 6 months testerday.

But I did send my congressman an email last night and ask for some help. I also ask if he would check into why this system is done GRAB BAG style and not in order by dates as we file them. I don't see any use in calling VSC to hear a lie.
