hi everyone,,,, well i would just like to ask if the economic condition of america will affect the k1 processing, like taking it longer? n approval??

thank you

why would you think so? not unless USCIS reduces rank... in the Obama era government is getting bigger not smaller....

it could reduce the quantity of applications so it actually could be quicker... though I do not expect so...

YMMV

A K-1 has nothing to do with work visas. You'll be OK and on time, if you do the paperwork correctly and fully. Once here, and you have your work permit, there are plenty of good nursing jobs for qualified people. You will need to be licensed and you can do that while waiting for your work permit.

No. The federal government may soon be the ONLY employer, I wouldn't worry about that. If anything it will reduce the number of petitions and speed up the process.

thank you for enlightening me  im just mixed up, because im into this forum n nurses forum...

i know u dont care but obama shuted the chance for nurses to get visa into america for the next 5 years.. n so im just worried,, anyway thank you,,

Don't believe everything you read on All Nurses.

The economy is only in recession in part of the USA.

For a Philippines educated nurse you do not have to take local exam to sit for NCLEX in most states of USA.

Plenty of Work in USA for a RN

My wife came from PI late last year, She didn't take Local Exam and she just passed the NCLEX in Texas and got her RN last month.

Also on K1 or K3 Visa, No such thing as retrogression for Nurses

Plus there is talk retrogression for work visa could end in October 2009,.
