Hi, everyone. I would really appreciate any information you can share about my questions.

1. My husband was studying 3 years ago, but worked as a part-timer. In short, he didn't make much money as the NVC requires. However, right now, he is employed in the USAF. What should we do about our situation? Will the 3 years income tax affect the decision on the interview?

2. He told me that I need to get a TIN before he can get his recent tax transcript. Is this right? It's taking a long time. I submitted a form applying for a TIN and we have not got any reply for IRS yet. How long will it take?

3. My husband scheduled my interview on April 3rd, and we're not done with NVC yet. Is that possible?

03/06/09- Mailed DS3032 via DHL

03/11/09- DHL arrived at NVC- 2009-03-09, DS-3032 E-Mail accepted

03/15/09-Paid I-864 Bill, Receive I-864 Package

03/16/09 -IV Bill generated

03/16/09- Received IV Bill

03/17/2009-Paid IV Bill

05/10/09- Returned Completed I-864

5/18/09- RFE received for DS230/ Sent response through DHL from PI

05/20-05/21/09- Early medical- passed

5/22/09- RFE received for AOS package (wooo..grr))

5/27/09- AOS response overnight to NVC

5/28/09- NVC received checklist (Ds230) as per AVR/ under REVIEW

6/02/09- I-1864 RFE was entered into the system- Review begins

6/05/09- NVC website log-in failed

06/08/09- case completed (per operator/US time) 6/9/09- PH time ..yeah! :-)

06/09/09- interview date assigned (through email)

07/28/09- Cr1 interview date (APPROVED)

07/30/09-Visa Received

08/07/09- US Entry : POE: LAX

08/08/09- Arrival to destination

08/20/09- Permanent card received

10/13/09- SSN received

1. if he is making enough in 2008 tax returns from USAF, that should be fine.

2. My wife submitt her 2008 tax returns without me and NVC accepted it (later she file for amendment tax returns). She didn't make enough to support me so we used her Mom as Joint Sponsor and Filed I-864 for My wife putting her mom's income on it and I-864a from her mom side.

3. i don't know how it is this possible that you can have an interview date without completing NVC. May be USAF helping.

Yes, it was also a surprise that I already have an interview schedule even if we haven't completed our case at NVC. But, I'm worried that it might cause delay in the release of the visa. Until now, we still haven't heard anything from IRS. :-( We rescheduled my interview because of this. Thanks for the reply, Arun!

If your moving forward with the K-3 visa, you do not need to complete NVC. If you are moving forward with the CR-1 then you need to complete NVC.

Including 3-years tax return is optional (form I-864, question#25). You will be fine with 2008 Tax return.

If you have SSN then do not need TIN. I do not whether you will get TIN or not. Are you currently in US?

Yes, it is possible for K-3 visa even your NVC journey not completed for CR1/IR1 visa.

You need at least one case file at the consulate.. your i-129f (k-3) file is there.... and if you proceed as it stands that is the visa you will be issued... if you want the IR visa then you must wait
