Just sharing my thoughts...

1. Most of the time, the EAD will be on your mail after a month or maybe less from your biometrics.

2. - See IMPORTANT TOPICS (topmost part of this post) by Captain Ewok about applying for AOS, this is very helpful. Bring all your original documents you submitted with your AOS.

- Show documentation of bona fide marriage, documents such as utility bills with both your name on it, joint accounts etc. which shows common residence.

- Sometimes the IO would ask questions like: your mother in law's name/last name, your USC spouse's birthplace/b-day, how many times divorce, how many children he/she has.

Have a blessed day. :)

Here is my experience.

We had our interview yesterday, March 11, 2009 at San Jose USCIS along Monterey Road.

Our appointment time is 10:00am but we were not called until around 11:30 because the officer who interviewed us is new. He called us up at around 10:30 to inform that we will be waiting for 30 more minutes and he apologized for the delay and explained that he is just new in doing the interviews even he was working with Immigration for quite sometime.

It was just very easy. He asked me and my husband to swear and asked for the following documents.

1. My passport and he took the I-94( returned my passport in the end of the interview)

2. EAD (but returned it at the end)

3. Husband's Birth Certificate and Driver's License

4. My birth certificate( but returned it at the end)

5. He asked papers for the proof of marriage so we provided him with

* bank account statement with both our names on it

* Insurance card with both our names on it

* Rent for the apartment with both our names on it

* Photos with me, my husband and my husband's family (he just kept 3 photos).

These are the questions that he asked as I remember it.

1. Asked my husband of my mother's and father's name.

2. Asked my birth of date.

3. Asked the date of our marriage.

3. Asked me of my husband's mother's and father's name.

4. Asked me of the date I arrived in US.

5. Asked if I wanna keep my name of I wanna use my husband's last name.

6. Asked both of us if we had previous marriages, kids, adopted kids, if we have pets.

To make sure that we are living together. He asked me if we share the same tube of toothpaste. When I said yes, he asked my husband to look at the wall( away from the desk) and asked me to write the brand name on a piece of paper. After that he asked my husband of the brand of toothpaste. Of course he knows the answer.

These questions are after the standard questions that we found of the application form.

Then, he said that our papers are good and he will recommend approval but he can't confirm it yet since he will forward our file to his supervisor.

I just received the email that I will receive my card in 30 days yesterday
