Hello Im asking this because my marriage certificate is taking really long to get here they told me it was going to be 4 to 8 weeks and its been 6 weeks already. we married here in Los angeles

Can I send my AOS package with the copy they gave at the chapel? my sister sent that out and It worked fine.

another question my sponsor is a US citizen but he was not born here, do I have to send a copy of the Naturalization paper or the passport will do just fine. Also do I have to send copies of his ID and SS?

Thank you!

you need the official one per the instructions.

This is your application not the USC's so all info is on you... the USC provides the I-864 and supporting financial documentation

what you received at the chapel was the signed "license"... you need the "certificate" after it was legally recorded

YMMV

Call your county clerk. We called them a few weeks after our marriage and the certificate was on their records, just not ready to be sent out yet. We were able to go to the office and get a certified copy right away.

Good Luck!
