These are traditions which are hundreds of years old, so I hardly think this is wiping out Whales.. or they would have been gone long ago.

Obviously they are eating these whales so I see nothing wrong with it.

Factory ships will decimate the whale populations, not a fishing village in Denmark. No one has to like this though, particularly if you believe that animals are more sentient than some of the god fearing folks will allow.

I don't know... yes it's cultural but I don't think I could eat anything with the intelligence of a whale.

I had to go off meat after watching the "Christmas dinner" goat meeting its maker in Albania.

I think by the end of lent I'll be craving some ribs but right now.... no thanks.

Its another warm and fuzzy VJ moment.

Although I read the title and though somehow the geographical entity known as Denmark had started killing whales. That would be pretty scary... more so that even this activity that is likely a once a year event as with other peoples' events...

Haha. I posted it as an alternative to the nuns kicking puppies and Obama is the next Hitler/ and or Anti Christ stories. I wasn't looking to pick a fight or strain anyone's moral values.
