Thoughts? Feelings? Will it fuel a fire in the country? Do you believe America can meet the challenge? Discuss.

Take your eight dollas and go wash your car, it will surely make a job or three million

Well it was more like a brief outline of what he is going to introduce in the next 6 months. He is focusing on Energy which will create jobs and renewable energy sources which is cleaner. This doesn't address outsourcing. He touched on recent events such a China's investment in our economy and Hiliary Clinton's recent request for them to keep investing in our economy. He then talked about Health Care which I noticed not all of Congress stood up and applauded so there is some topsy turvy going on. Finally he addressed Education and saying every American needs to at least graduate from High School and have one year of college and he plans to give breaks for those who provide service through their community or their country. Didn't even touch on those of us graduating. However, from the start he said he wasn't going to address every issue or touch on everything. Basically it was addressing current events.

Then came the GOP's response with Gov Boby Jindal from LA. Everyone knows it's teleprompted and I don't think he did a bad job of it. He outlined the similarities and differences between the two party policies but the air of his speech was more apologetic to the ppl.

Yeah that really kills me. Have a 750 billion dollar bill that supposed to be for stimulating the economy and I'm probably going to get $10 more a week in my check. About all I'm going to stimulate is the gas station, car wash or Burger King. LOL

And if you argued with fact and reason, you wouldn't sound so prejudiced and ignorant.

And in 6 months we'll have a little better idea where all of this is heading. Perhaps it would be good to wait for a while before picking the plan apart before it is implemented?

All of it's a waste of money, since it's money we don't have and most money won't be used on building projects for a year or two and the economy would have probably turned around on it's own by then. What he let slip out to the Joe the Plumber about spreading the wealth is just what he's going to do.

I'll bet the money spent in Iraq would have helped the economy here too.
