It does show that you lapped up every party political talking point that came out of the campaign - no doubt you were shrugging your shoulders at the accusations of bigotry when Rush and Coulter et al were singling out the man's middle name for a bit of back door wash-it-off-your-hands bigotry.

The guy's middle name is Hussein. Ever heard a president referred to by his middle name such as "W" before? Politicians do what they can to win and his middle name was surely fair game just as shots at Bush's background were bound to happen. The racist charge has been bandied about so freely that it has lost of lot its sting especially for a the two generations after the civil rights movement. You may have a legit point if Obama lost due to some surge in anti-Black, anti-Arab or Anti-Muslim but considering country is fighting two wars for some time with some members of the latter groups, but I frankly I don't see it nor did most people who went to the polls.

Bollocks. Noone went out of their way to refer to John McCain or Hillary Clinton by their middle names - but apparently it was important to do so in the case of a guy with an Arab middle name.

Its obvious why that was done - even if a few people choose not to see it, or indeed to perpetuate it.

Embellishing that b/s by comparing the guy to a notorious terrorist is beyond stupid.

Clinton dropped her maiden name, Rodham, when it suited her so you're wrong there. If you didn't get the Rod 'em conotations, well ask around. McCain got hit repeatedly with shots about his age and while true he's old guy, prejudice against older people is nothing to be proud of.

Its obvious why that was done - even if a few people choose not to see it, or indeed to perpetuate it.

Embellishing that b/s by comparing the guy to a notorious terrorist is beyond stupid.

You obviously forgot how many times Bush was tied to Bin Laden. I don't know what you said about that but I doubt it was a common theme in your posts like Obama's middle name defense.

That's bait and switch - you know exactly what I'm talking about. The smelly ####### crapped out by the right-wing commentators during the election campaign and which Justashooter is regurgitating here.

"Oh noes - how dare we use the man's middle name, why is he so ashamed of it?"

Yeah right

Bush was compared to Bin Laden? That's an effin stretch.

No bait and switch since I drew direct comparisons. You ignored everything I wrote about how the use of his name, Hussein, wasn't that big of a deal and had little impact. I don't agree with Shooter's argument but your's petered out to merely repeating yourself to retreading the campaign and making it into some major outrage when it's business as usual in politics.

Fakenheit 9/11, Bush/GOP are the American Taliban, Bush is a terrorist, both are tied to oil . . . there were more comparisons even if you don't see or agree with them.

Does he wish he had a #######?

he's wishing osama's mother didn't get so many. seriously, your pres is the spawn of a gold-digging ####### who was a regular "party girl" till some wealthy fellow low enough on the social scale to take her entered the picture. aren't you just proud of that?

Don't like it? Leave. Don't let the door hit you in the brains on the way out.

I ignored what you wrote because it was irrelevant to the context I was referring to. I know it had little impact on anything, but it was a pretty deplorable and dishonest line of argument. That (bolded) was my only point.

Again none of which has anything to do with the context of what I was referring to - namely that its very obvious why Obama's middle name was singled out by the commentators and what implied meanings were being conveyed by that.

But feel free to change the subject again.

Shooter,

You are sad, strange little man, and you have my pity.

Proof that we need to spend more on education.

Scott Easterling is certainly bucking :bonk: for a dishonorable discharge (Frankly, I would HANG  the MOTHERF*CKER for treason).

disobeying a lawful order, yes. conduct unbecoming, yes. and probably a whole host of other things. but not treason.

Do you always have to be so technical?

Well no one can say you don't recycle enough when it comes to your reasoning. Using his middle was not dishonest and truth is a defense in slander. Deplorable? You failed to convince me it was such nasty thing to say in a fairly clean campaign and there was little to no impact. Sure the name had a negative context or it would have been brought up. It was a political campaign and the President is a very public political figure who is going to take some hits. No big deal.

Its not up to me to prove anything to you. If you don't want to see the whole Hussein/Osama thing as a way of establishing Obama's "otherness", you are certainly free to do that.

As you say - no big deal. But the ragbag of dirty trick arguments was brought up by Justashooter - that's what I responded to.

Wow! "Love it or leave it," coming from the left? I guess that commie son of a female dog was right! "Conquer from within," I think he said. I am depressed.
