Hey guys how are you? I had my AOS interview on Feb 3 2009 in Cleveland, OH, and since then, I have not heard any info about my decision, is this normal and has anyone experienced this before? All I was told at the end of the interview was "If we need anything from you, we will notify you by mail. I was not given a verbal approval or anything, nor was my EAD card taken away from me. I have no clue what to think and I am frustrated like hell not knowing the decision?

Any thoughts or opinions on this matter?

I would say go ahead and schedule an infopass, it takes time to get an appointment. you can always cancel it if you do get an outcome earlier

With my experience, the IO didnt get my EAD too, what he took from me was my I94.

Did he let you sign some papers?

a. reminder about the I751 that we have to do it 90days before its expiration and that they wont remind us again.

b. its like a waiver saying you are not involve in any terrorism or other things and all....

i guess those are indication that you were approved. so even if he didnt verbally say it getting the I94 and letting you sign the reminder would mean you are good to go...

also i received my Welcome Letter 5days after the interview.

so i think you can make an infopass already....

i hope the info somehow would help.

Hello,

You may have to wait alittle while before you do anything. After my first AOS, i waited 6 months before anything. The IO said that everything was ok, and if she needed anything else, they would request it by mail. She never took my EAD either. However, i was called for a second one and this time the IO took the I94 (hopefully that is a good sign) with no verbal approval...i just have to wait.....

No I didnt sign any papers nor was told anything about removing conditions. I came to the US as a visitor and as a Canadian we are not issued nor required to have an I94. I am thinking I will make an infopass appointment and obviously what you are saying arent good signs of an approval because it has been 20 days and heard nothing so I dont know what that says.

You had to wait 6 months to hear something, now that is rediculous, I think 6 months is a long wait to be honest to sit there and not inquire about it. I dont get that, at your 1st interview, you were told everything was ok and if they needed anything else from you, you would hear something by mail. I didnt have an I94 as Canadians are issued it nor required to have it when crossing into the US and I came to the US as a visitor. What happened at your 2nd interview and it seems like you are approved to be honest.
