My cousin's husband was, and still is not working when they filed the AOS, but he had enough savings to show he is able to support her and her two daughters. They did fine and was approved without interview. I believe you will be okay since you have more than enough savings in your name. Just bring all documentary proofs of your assets and savings.

Goodluck.

The AO in San Francisco for the Philippines is a reasonable guy, but he does look closely at income and assets. Assets are evaluated at current value dispersed over ten years. Bring what you can to fully document your assets, as the market is now. The way the market has turned down, it is hard to say what will happen.

If you applied for your wife's EAD and she gets a job, you can use her income as well.

from the I-864... some info on the use of assets...

Only assets that can be converted into cash within one year and without considerable hardship or financial loss to the owner may be included. The owner of the asset must include a description of the asset, proof of ownership, and the basis for the owner's claim of its net cash value.

In order to qualify based on the value of your assets, the total value of your assets must equal at least five times the difference between your total household income and the current poverty guidelines for your household size. However, if you are a U.S. citizen and you are sponsoring your spouse or minor child, the total value of your assets must only be equal to at least three times the difference

at least the Op has some time on his side. if there is an interview, his employment situation may have changed. and as you noted, if his wife is employed, they could also use her income.
